Lin Beifong - Hero To Us All

With every last bit of her breath.

And with all her strength to behold.

She would step up to defend this city,

For peace and order was her only goal.


Though it seemed that she would fail more than once,

She always took her stand when things got really tough,

Even if she was uncertain that her efforts would be enough.


So when she spoke those heroic words of which I will never forget,

And left her charges behind to fight the good fight one last time,

I knew she would make sure those Airbenders would get far, far away!


Then she was forced to kneel in the rain in front of the greatest of foes.

And when he demanded of her to tell him where her charges had up and gone,

She refused to tell him anything because she already faced her true fear.



She called him a monster because of all the awful things he had done,

And then closed her emerald eyes and awaited what would be her fate,

Resigned to do her duty as the City's protector one last and final time.


He took her bending away, and she fell like all the others before,

Not caring that she wasn't a criminal for him to settle a score.



But do not fret.

Do not cry.

All is not lost,

There is still Hope I believe.



So, please just sit back and watch as the tale continues to be unfold,

As we all grip our blankets in anticipation of what will happens next,

And knowing this is not the end of the story of Korra and her friends.



As for Lin Beifong...

She is a true hero I believe!



She may have fallen for the sake of the upcoming battle and war,

But she will rise again, even though her powers are gone away!



This the daughter of Toph,

She won't ever up and go soft,

Because she is truly a fighter,

And will come back even mightier!


So Lin....

Though we must leave you behind to fall before of the greatest foes,

You will never be forgotten, in the minds and hearts of your friends!
